HUBHFX: Artist Talk w/ Singer Songwriter T Thomason

Singer/Songwriter T Thomason (aka Sweet Baby T) stopped by Art&Action HUB to connect with YAC and talk about his career, life, his single “Loser” and upcoming projects. Young artists from the community came to pick T’s brain and gain inspiration from the established singer’s experiences. The energy in the room was lively and supportive, and HUB was graced with a surprise unplugged performance of T’s single “Loser”.

WHO IS T THOMASON?

Growing up in a family full of performers, T. Thomason was raised on theatre and film sets, making what feels like an inevitable move to becoming an artist himself. Growing up in Nova Scotia, T. released three albums by the age of 19, garnering support from
television shows like DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION and sharing bills with acts including Carly Rae Jepsen, Gord Downie, and Collective Soul. He has had multiple ECMA and Music Nova Scotia nominations, and received recognition as one of “Canada’s Top 25 Under 25” by CBC Music in 2017.

After taking a short break from the industry in 2015 and early 2016, his EP "sweet baby" was released, becoming a declaration of independence, grown from a period of self-discovery, and also garnering a 2017 nomination for Rock Recording of the Year at the
Nova Scotia Music Awards. In November 2017, T. and producer Dave Henriques embarked on a new collaborative journey, developing the pop/electronic sound of his next full-length album. His singles "Bliss" and "Loser" dropped in August and November 2018, respectively and are available to hear now wherever you listen.
