NS youth delegation to National Black Canadians Summit & Parliament Hill
From February 2-5, a YAC and 902ManUp youth delegation presented and facilitated talks and workshops at the 2019 National Black Canadians Summit. After two days of leading and participating in learning, planning and networking with leaders from across the country, the delegation attended a day of meetings with various Federal ministers, presenting action plans aimed at supporting Black communities from coast to coast.
These leaders continue to lead and inspire their communities in Nova Scotia and are working hard to make a difference and create positive change, building on new experiences, skills, knowledge and connections. Thanks to the Michaëlle Jean Foundation and the Department of African Nova Scotian Affairs for supporting this experience for these inspiring & creative leaders.
